Islamabad The executive and steering committees of the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) has instructed M/s Green Tree and Nespak to expedite completion of survey and submit a report along with revised layout plan of the Bhara Kahu Housing Scheme within a period of one month so that development work could be initiated without further loss of time. The joint session of the committees, headed by the housing and works secretary, was held here. The representatives of M/s Green Tree and M/s Nespak were also invited in the meeting to brief the executive and steering committees about the status of ongoing joint survey of the Bhara Kahu site by M/s Nespak and M/s Designmen (consultant on behalf of M/s Green Tree) as well as revised layout plan of the Bhara Kahu scheme. The recommendations of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting regarding criteria for allotment of plots to media workers and journalists were also discussed in the meeting which were approved accordingly, mostly in line with the eligibility of criteria already advertised in the press by the ministry. The meeting also approved bids accepted by the FGEHF of nine C-Type apartments in Sector G-11/3 and a commercial plot in Markaz G-13 at an auction held last month. It was also decided in the meeting that work on garbage collection in sectors G-13 and G-14/4 shall be handled by the FGEHF itself and a recovery regime shall be introduced for payment to service provider. It may be pointed out here that the FGEHF is yet to hand over Sector G-13 and G-14/4 to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) so that the civic body could provide necessary civic facilities to the residents of the sector and collect property tax from them. Now the FGEHF has decided to take up these responsibilities on its own.
