SHAIKHUPURA: Seven terrorists were killed in an alleged police encounter at Sharaqpur road in Sheikhupura late on Tuesday night.
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) sources said a gang of at least 12 terrorists were making their way to Sharqpur when exchange of fire took place.
Seven terrorists were killed in the shootout while five other managed to flee taking advantage of the darkness.
CTD sources said the terrorists were affiliated to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
Police also seized 2kg explosives from the possession of the terrorists.
