ANP launches election campaign in Lower Dir
TIMERGARA: The Awami National Party (ANP) on Sunday formally launched election campaign for the 2018 general elections.
A convention of the party workers to this effect was held at the residence of Malik Sajjad Ahmad, the party nominee for constituency PK-15 Lower Dir.
Besides hundreds of party workers from PK-15, ANP Lower Dir president Hussain Shah Yousafzai, general secretary Inayatullah, ANP nominee for PK-13 Malik Muhammad Zeb Khan, ANP Saudi Arabia chapter president Gul Zamin Said, National Youth Organisation (NYO) Lower Dir president Malik Salman, president urban council Timergara Shah Wali Khan advocate and others attended the event.
The speakers expressed confidence in the decision of provincial leadership on allotment of party tickets and said the provincial leadership had allotted all party tickets on merit.
They asked the ANP workers to shun internal differences and work hard for the victory of “lantern,” the electoral symbol of the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Sajjad Ahmad Yousafzai said first he would contact every disenchanted and inactive worker to bring him back into political arena to play his role for the success of the party.
He added that the people of Dir had recognised those who had been deceiving them in the name of Islam and religion.
