KARACHI: Ali Azmat held the audience in the spell of his rock power at a concert organized at Karachi School of Business and Leadership (KSBL) on Friday.
Drummer Louis J. Pinto, aka Gumpy, made the drums produce perfect beats with the magic of his briskly moving hands while guitarist Omran Shafique and bass guitarist Kamran Abbas did what they do best with strings.
Although the crowd was not so big yet the atmosphere got really charged as soon as Ali Azmat rendered his signature song ‘Yaro Yehi Dosti Hai’.
The boys and girls, most of them college students, assembled around the stage to catch a clear glimpse of their favorite rock star. They also sang along with the powerhouse of Pakistani rock as they waved their hands in the air and shouted and whistled in excitement.
Ali Azmat sang his heart out one hit after another including Sain, Garaj Baras, Mera Mahi Aa Gaya, Maula from Indian flick Jism 2 and many other famous tunes.
The concert came to a perfect end with ‘Hai Jazba Junoon’.
