MANSEHRA: The drivers of public transport took to the streets in Balakot to protest against the killing of their colleague in a recent firing incident.
The drivers gathered outside a police station in Balakot and blocked the main road for all sorts of traffic.
They said one of their colleagues exchanged harsh words with someone over picking passengers in Garlat area of the city recently, leading to a scuffle and his shooting. Later, the transporter died at a hospital.
The protesters demanded registration of a case and arrest of the accused.
The protesters reopened the road to traffic and ended the protest after Deputy Superintendent of Police Zakir Khan assured them of justice.
