PESHAWAR: The decision by more than 10 members of the Town-3 belonging to the three-party alliance to vote for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidates for Nazim and
Deputy Nazim has been welcomed and interpreted by the PTI Member Provincial Assembly Yasin Khan Khalil as
their confidence in Imran Khan’s manifesto and programme.
“It is a big change. These members of Town-3 Peshawar voted according to their conscience despite the boycott of the polls for Nazims and Deputy Nazims by the ANP, JUI-F and PPP that are part of the three-party alliance.
They voted for PTI candidates and thus expressed their trust in the policies being pursued by Imran Khan,” lawmaker and former PTI Peshawar district president Yasin Khalil said.
He added that these elected members also showed their distrust in the three-party
alliance by rejecting its decision to boycott the polls on Sunday.
