BISHAM: The bodies of six persons were recovered from the debris of the lightning-hit house in Losar area in Shang union council of Shangla district, official and local sources said on Wednesday.
The lightning struck the house of Gul Taj on Tuesday night and the locals had recovered two persons. Three other houses were also destroyed in the incident.The sources said that the locals and the security forces launched rescue activities and retrieved six bodies from the rubble. The dead included Gul Taj, his children Naseeb Taj and Parveen, two women and another relative Niqab.
The two injured, whose identity could not be ascertained, were taken to a local hospital.Meanwhile, the provincial government has announced compensation for the heirs of those killed and injured.Abdul Maula announced compensation of Rs100,000 for the heirs of the victims and Rs50,000 for the injured on behalf of his brother and Special Assistant to Minister Abdul Munim.
