A 17-year-old boy died in an accident in the Lytton Road police limits on early Tuesday.
Police have removed the dead body to morgue for autopsy. The deceased was identified as Waqas, a resident of Nankana Sahab. The victim was going somewhere on the car. As he reached on Jail Road, he lost control of his car due to speeding. His car overturned. As a result, he received serious injuries. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. Police reached the incident place and removed the dead body to morgue for autopsy. They also collected forensic evidences from the crime scene and registered the statements of eyewitnesses. Police had informed the family of the deceased.

Police told the media that the victim might have died due to excessive use of drug. However, autopsy will help ascertain the cause of death. Police were searching for the family of the deceased.
Valuables burnt: Valuables worth thousands of rupees were gutted in an incident of fire in a house in Model Town police limits on Tuesday. Rescue teams reached the incident place and controlled the fire. Meanwhile, another fire broke out in a house in R-Block due to short-circuit. The residents of the house tried to control it but failed. They called the Rescue 1122 which controlled the fire. No loss of life or injury was reported.
accidents: At least 572 road traffic accidents were reported to the Rescue 1122’s Provincial Monitoring Cell in all the 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours in which six lives were lost during these accidents in different districts of Punjab and 491 seriously injured were shifted to different hospitals of the relevant districts. However, some 185 victims sustaining minor injuries were provided first aid on the spot. According to a data, 266 drivers, 10 underage drivers, 98 pedestrians and 318 passengers were among victims of these road accidents. The statistics show 123 RTAs were reported to Lahore Control Room, which affected 134 persons placing the provincial capital at the top of the list followed by 56 RTAs in Faisalabad with 63 victims and Multan at third position with 40 RTAs and 49 victims.
