THE FIA Lahore and Customs Intelligence Lahore teams jointly conducted a raid on late Friday on Urdu Bazaar and recovered would-be smuggling biaxial oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films from a shop-turned godown.
The FIA team, led by Assistant Director Asif Ali Mian and Customs team led by Additional Director Mohsin Rafique, raided the godown on a tip off and recovered over 2,000 BOPP films valuing Rs 40 to 45 million.
The BOPP films have been developed over the last 35 years and are now widely used in place of cellophane, waxed paper, and aluminum foil.
