LAHORE
Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Sirajul Haq has warned that the US President Obama’s unconditional patronage to Indian Prime Minister Modi, a Hindu fanatic and a killer of thousands of Indian Muslims, was a plot to plunge the region into a war.
The JI leader made it clear to both US and India that in case of any joint adventure by them the war would not remain confined to the region and would destroy the world peace. He was addressing JI central leaders at Mansoora on Thursday. JI leaders Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, Rashid Naseem, Asadullah Bhutto, JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, Deputy Secretary General Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha and Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri and Information Secretary Ameerul Azeem were present.
Sirajul Haq asked New Delhi to realise that Kashmir belonged to Kashmiris. Terming Islamabad’s foreign policy a complete failure, Sirajul Haq said people from all walks of life were in mourning over rulers’ foreign policy. “In spite of having five foreign advisers, the foreign policy is directionless”, he remarked.
Notwithstanding the open threats from Washington and the US conspiracies against this country, the rulers considered it their success to remain in the US lap. “The US is going ahead with its plan to establish India’s supremacy in the region and has also announced its support for India as permanent UN Security Council member which is not in the interest of the region”, he added.
He said the government’s foreign policy suffered from contradictions and dilly-dallying because the rulers were not willing to go against the US.
He said this was the occasion when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should have spoken openly against the US conspiracies to disturb the balance of power in the region. He said the PM should have summoned US ambassador and conveyed a clear message on this score.
movement: Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have agreed to jointly launch a nationwide movement against the western media and the blasphemy campaign.
Both the parties will convene a meeting of all political and religious parties to devise a strategy to put pressure on the government to make efforts for pushing the world on international legislation against blasphemy.
It was decided at a meeting of JI ameer Siraj ul Haq with JuD ameer Hafiz Muhammad Saeed at Jamia Al-Qadisa on Thursday.
JI secretary general Liaqat Baloch, JuD leader Hafiz Abdur Rahman Makki, Tehreek-e-Hurmat-e Rasool Maulana Amir Hamza and Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar were present. Hafiz Saeed and Siraj-ul-Haq agreed to hold protest rallies and conference on February 5 to express solidarity with the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle. Speaking on the occasion, Siraj-ul-Haq stressed the need to convert the protests against blasphemy into a nationwide and international movement.
