Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is likely to address a public meeting in Malir on November 30 as the party seems set to shift its customary foundation day celebrations from Lahore to Karachi this year.
Over the years, the PPP’s foundation day celebrations have been based in the provincial Punjab capital where it was conceived but, this year, the anniversary function would be held in Malir.
The move, it would be safe to assume, has come about in view of next week’s third phase of the local government polls as the PPP would be looking to rouse support in an area considered to be one of the ruling party’s strongholds in the city.
