Students to be educated about dengue dangers

The Sindh health minister has announced plans for distribution of 500,000 pamphlets on dengue awareness in all government and private schools of Karachi.
In a statement issued on Monday, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, said the respective administrators and directors of private and government schools were taken into confidence prior to the launch of the awareness campaign. “The role of social mobilisers in the campaign is very important, hence, they are expected to perform their duties par excellence,” he said.
The minister directed the in-charge of the dengue programme, Dr Masood Solangi, to submit daily progress reports and warned that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
