The body of a minor girl, raped and strangulated, was found in bushes near her house in Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth in Safoora Goth on Friday.
The body of five-year-old Umara, daughter of Zahid Mahmood, was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. A medico-legal officer, Roheena Hassan, said the girl had died eight hours earlier. She was raped and then strangled to death. Sachal police said the girl was abducted on Thursday at around 6pm outside her house. At 9:30pm, her father had lodged a complaint with the police station about hi daughter going missing.
Sohrab Goth sub-divisional police officer Khalid Khan told The News that the girl’s father was a labourer.
