LAHORE: The national selection committee headed by head coach Misbah-ul-Haq has started coordination with its team of national and regional members to formulate a future strategy in this time of lockdown.
It has been learnt, the selection committee is in contact through coordinator and on conference calls to deliberate on the future and team selection.The consultation with selection committee members of Chief Selector and Head Coach Misbah-ul-Haq is part of the plan to get maximum out of the lockdown situation due to coronavirus.
They are discussing short and as well as long term plan with focus on players needed in the upcoming series and for the future.
The names of players are being noted down for being considered under Long Term Policy for all three formats. Besides, they also discussed as to how counseling on various players would continues. It has been learnt that the players who came under consider includes former captains Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz while young Haider Ali, Rohil Nazir, Aakif Javed, Dilbar Hussain and Khushald Shah are among the selectors' long-term plans.The selection committee is also considering setting up long term fitness camps when conditions improve. The camp will be focusing on three-day, one-day and T20 matches.
