Fata University

Former president Asif Ali Zardari approved the Fata University on May 20, 2013. But even after two years the site and location of the proposed university have not been decided. One reason is the failure of the Fata lawmakers to agree to a location. But even if they reached a consensus the second biggest hurdle will be generating funds for setting up the university.
The people of Fata need nothing more than educational institutions in their areas. Terrorism and extremism, which the people of Fata have been facing for the last 20 years, will greatly subside by establishing educational institutions in the area. The Fata representatives should reach a consensus about the location and site of the proposed university and let the government finalise other issues.
