There is no doubt that the UAE minister’s remarks regarding our parliament’s unanimous resolution to stay out of the Yemen conflict are no less than a diplomatic intervention. The collective wisdom of our parliament is appreciated.
Moreover, our interior minister has rightly regarded the statement as an attack on our self respect and an insult to our parliament. He also reaffirmed that Pakistan has good relations with the UAE and Saudi Arabia and will stand by with the Arab world against any threat. The government’s take on the Yemen crisis is quite reasonable and should be supported.
