NOWSHERA: The Nowshera police constituted a special Anti-Ice Squad to combat the menace of drug addiction among the students and track down the drug peddlers in the district.
District Police Officer Muhammad Iqbal told reporters that on the directives of Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari and regional Police Officer, Mardan range, Yaseen Farooq, special Anti-Ice Squad was formed to help stop sale of narcotics, particularly Ice and spread of drug addiction among the students and others.
He said that the personnel of the squad would patrol around the educational institutions and keep a vigil on the drug pushers and buyers and arrest them to put a halt to the drug addiction in the district.
He said the squad was solely tasked to tackle the narcotics dealers and addicts and hoped that it would yield positive results.
