Bisma’s death

The untimely death of 10-month-old Bisma due to the security protocol surrounding Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is reprehensible.

Though the father of the victim has possibly been made to change his earlier statement, the incident cannot be swept under the carpet. According to media reports, the Sindh chief minister has ordered a police enquiry. But people cannot expect a just probe from the executive machinery in the province. In view of this, the chief justice of Pakistan is requested to take suo motu notice of the incident and order a judicial probe.
