Gohar Ayub’s wife passes away

HARIPUR: Former National Assembly Speaker Gohar Ayub Khan’s wife, Zeb Gohar Ayub, passed away at a hospital in Islamabad on Friday after prolonged illness. She was mother of former state minister for finance Omar Ayub Khan. Zeb Gohar Ayub was the daughter of late Lt Gen Habibullah Khan Khattak and sister of Lt Gen (Retd) Ali Kuli Khan and industrialist Raza Kuli Khan. She had been suffering from cancer for the last several years and remained under treatment in local and foreign hospitals. The deceased had remained the Member National Assembly during the rule of military dictator General Pervez Musharraf. Her funeral would be offered today at 3 pm in Rehana village, Haripur district.
