Kanye West hit with diss from ex-friend who once called him 'brother'
Jay-Z and Kanye West have been at odds over a string of issues for the past few years
Once, the duo of Kanye West and Jay-Z were a dominating pair in the industry. They had several hit collaborations.
Both of them were deep at the time. But a rupture came.
The two titans split, who once had a family ties, shunned each other.
Now, Jay-Z, it seems, has dissed Ye over his return to solo performance after a hiatus of six years.
At the Root Picnic festival, Hov—the rapper's nickname—rapped in a 4-min blistering freestyle.
"My children is some of them, have you n***** no shame?" Jay-Z spitted bars, firing back at West's claims about the rapper's kids.
Hov did not stop there.
He further rapped, "Y'all trying to get under skin, I really get under skin."
"Ask Un how I'm playing. Everybody thinks they're the ones insane. You're no maniac."
By 'Un,' Jay-Z referred to Lance 'Un' Rivera, a music executive he was accused of stabbing in 1999.
