This refers to the letter, 'Dam Fund' (April17) by Syed Maruf Ahmed Ali. The writer has rightly suggested not to use the dam fund to counter this unprecedented coronavirus outbreak. The requirement of dams to cater for the ever-increasing energy consumption of the country is a must.
The concerned ministry must share the dam fund so far collected and its utilisation with the nation to give us the confidence that its objective is being achieved in letter and spirit.
