The Ameer Begum Welfare Trust awarded scholarships worth 2.5 million among the intelligent and deserving students hailing from different parts of the country.
According to a press release issued on Saturday, the scholarships were awarded under “The Sponsor A Student Programme” at a ceremony. Chairperson of the Ameer Begum Welfare Trust distributed scholarships worth 2500,000 amongst 57 students.
The Trust launched its ‘Sponsor A Student Programme in 2005’ through which more than 70 students had now been able to complete their studies, said the press release. This year as well this provision to worthy students will continue, said Chairperson of Trust Rubina Shaheen Wattoo. “Sponsor A Student Programme” is also looked after by Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, former Chief Minister Punjab, Faisal Rasool, Samia Faisal, S.M Tanveer, Dr. Abdul Aziz Rana, Dr. Roohi Saeed , Amir Abdullah, Nadia Ibn e Hasan, Begum Farhat Mubarik Ather, Rana M. Arshad Khan, Naila Iqbal, Mr. Ali Ahmad Chaudary, Sana Usman Chaudary, Usman Chaudary, Dr. Umar Aziz Rana, Dr. Fahad Aziz Rana, Riaz ur Rehman, Alia Amir, Mian Zahoor Ahmad Wattoo, Hajra Hassan,. Munaza Amjad, Bilquis Samdani Lak, and Babar Sultan.
