It is really good to see that all the four Pakistan Super League (PSL) editions remained successful; with a lot of Pakistanis glued to their television sets during all the matches. It is also good to see that the owners of all six franchises are Pakistanis. This has given a good financial and technical boost to those local players who have been the part of these franchises. Besides this, the owners of these franchises have also earned profits against their invested money, besides adding to the cricket fever amongst the youth of the country.
Currently, our local film industry is dying down, as no major investment is being made by wealthy Pakistanis. If the six Pakistani owners of the franchises of the PSL can invest billions in cricket, then can we not get someone to invest in good quality and big budget Pakistani films? Wealthy Pakistani investors should play their role in reviving the dying film industry of Pakistan.
