LAHORE
PAKISTAN Muslim League-Q President and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain while commenting on the statement of Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has said that for the first time an Army Chief has so openly clarified his stance on terrorism and foreign forces involved in it.
In a statement issued here Friday, Shujaat said the Army Chief had stated that foreign forces should refrain from destabilising Pakistan, forces inimical to the country would be defeated and the terrorists would not find any place to hide, their sympathisers and financial helpers would be dug out, would go to any limit for establishing the writ of the State and Balochistan would be made cradle of peace.
Announcing full support to the statement of the Army Chief, Shujaat Hussain said that prior to this statement no leadership had enough courage to expose the people behind this drama. He said hopefully the eyes of the forces mentioned by the Army Chief will now be opened; no leader was paying attention towards it due to political exigencies.
He said two problems had been left within the country, including Karachi election in NA-246 and the Judicial Commission; nobody was paying attention to real public problems, including terrorism, law and order, energy crisis, price-hike, unemployment and over-billing.
