NOWSHERA: The personal assistant to director Qazi Medical Complex Amir Khan on Friday got registered a case against the former chairman of Board of Governor of the facility Zafeerullah Khan for alleged misuse of power and issuing fresh appointment orders even after the dissolution of the BoG.
Amir Khan along with Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS) of Qazi Medical Complex Dr Muhammad Arif and other witnesses submitted a written application to the cops of Nowshera Kalan Police Station for registering a case against the former BoG chairman. In the application, he said the provincial government had de-notified the BoG of Qazi Medical Complex and removed the members from their offices.
He alleged the BoG ex-chairman misused his authority and issued fresh appointment orders which were illegal. He alleged that illegal appointments were made by the former BoG chairman. The application was produced before the Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate Shakeel Arshad. A case under section-419, 475 and 471 was filed against Zafeerullah Khan after taking legal opinion from the prosecution branch. It may be mentioned that a whooping amount of Rs5 billion had been spent on the Qazi Medical Complex after the implementation of Medical Teaching Institution Act at the facility but the wrangling among the officials and politics caused huge damage to the facility. Appointments are being made at the hospital even after ban on fresh recruitment by the Election Commission of Pakistan from April 1 last.
