We often take pride in keeping our homes clean and tidy. But the same garbage is left outdoors. This becomes a source of amusement for neighbourhood cats which scatter the garbage on streets. Even if the janitor does come and throw the garbage in bins, this garbage is seldom disposed of by the relevant authorities.
It keeps rotting there for days and becomes a source of diseases such as cholera and jaundice. This garbage crisis has resulted in the outbreak of serious diseases, which have increased the rate of mortality. The local authorities should ensure that the garbage is being disposed of in a timely manner.
