DIR: District Nazim Sahibzada Faseehullah on Wednesday ordered expulsion of the District Education Officer (Female) for Upper Dir from the district for allegedly violating rules and regulations. Habiba Bibi, the District Education Officer (Female), Upper Dir, has decided to move the court against the District Nazim's order to expel her from the district.
When contacted, Sahibzada Faseehullah said that the DEO (Female) had been directed to report to the Education Department in Peshawar. He accused her of being involved in illegal recruitment, transfer of NTS teachers and violating rules and regulations. He said that a law and order situation had been created due to her illegal acts. The District Nazim could not give a satisfactory answer whether or not he had the authority to transfer an officer of grade-17or 18. Also, the Election Commission of Pakistan had announced ban on recruitment, transfer and posting as well as launching new development projects. The District Nazim, however, said that there was no ban on transfers and postings.
Talking to reporters, Habiba Bibi said that she had not done any illegal recruitment or transfer. She said that she had taken permission for the 'detailed' transfer order from the director education for completion of pending work in her office for a short period. She added that the District Nazim had no powers to transfer or expel from the district an officer in grade17 and above. She said that she was going to move the court against the illegal order of the District Nazim. Meanwhile, the PTI Upper Dir also announced to move the court against the order of the District Nazim.
