The shortage of water in Karachi has concerned all citizens. Many of them have been left with the choice of either buying water on a daily basis at exorbitant prices from the tanker mafia or fetching water from water pumps located in faraway places. In Karachi, Lyari and Mauripur are most affected due to the shortage.
Since taps run dry in all houses, a large number of people can be seen waiting in queue to fill two or three buckets of water. The Sindh government should pay attention to these issues and take relevant steps to resolve this serious problem that has paralysed the lives of Karachi’s citizens.
