The day cricket won

The successful and peaceful completion of the PSL final in Lahore will go a long way in the restoration of cricket in Pakistan. Undoubtedly, this is a big achievement on the part of all security departments. Because of the principled alacrity and uncompromising commitment of our law enforces, the long cherished dream of bringing cricket back to Pakistan came true. It is also pertinent to mention that the participation of overseas players deserves accolades because their presence on Pakistani soil lent a considerable credibility to our security mechanism. The role of media in this regard is also worthwhile which created so much hype and built confidence among the people that over 30,000 spectators made their way to the Qaddafi Stadium. The jam-packed stadium spoke volumes about our resilient nation. It is no less than a death knell for those antagonistic elements which are bent up on sabotaging the peace in Pakistan.

Now, it is the pressing need of the hour that the people controlling the helms should not fall a prey to complacency rather continue with unwavering resolve and cash in on this mega event and work out a viable plan to hold the third season of the PSL in the country. It is also a ripe time that other foreign teams should be approached and invited to play in the country. Presently, our cricket team is lagging far behind in every format of the game. It is all due to the fact that our players do not have the advantage to play under home crowd and home ground conditions. So, the revival of cricket in Pakistan will help us gain the lost glory which was once a privilege of our cricket team.
