Concern over poor performance of Tehsil Complex officials

BUREWALA: Vehari DCO Ali Akbar Bhatti has shown concern over poor performance of officials and sanitary conditions at the Tehsil Complex and Land Record Centre here.

The DCO during his surprise visit to the Tehsil Complex and Land Record Centre found that the tehsildar and the Land Record Centre incharge and other officials were absent from their duties. The DCO expressed his great resentment over the poor performance of the officials and state of cleanliness in the offices of the Tehsildar, naib tehsildar and courts. He said that the responsible officials would be issued show-cause notices and their performance report would be sent to the senior member Board of Revenue Lahore for further action. Meanwhile, the DCO also took notice of encroachments in bazaars after publishing of a news item in ‘The News’ and ordered AC Ahmar Sohail to take immediate action on the issue. Later, the TMA and the Model Town police launched anti-encroachment drive at Goal Chowk area and Vehari bazaars and removed encroachments.

BODY FOUND: An unidentified dead body of an old man was found near Mujahid Colony here on Monday. City police have shifted the body to the THQ Hospital for post-mortem.
