Function arranged for families of KP police martyrs

PESHAWAR: A ceremony was arranged at the Traffic Police Headquarters here on Wednesday for the families of the police martyrs in connection with Police Martyrs Day.

A press release said led by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Haroon Rasheed Khan, the event was attended by SP Traffic Headquarters Arbab Shafiullah Jan, Deputy Director IT Muhammad Ashfaq, DSP Headquarters Faqir Hussain, DSP MLA Saira Saleh, and others.

The CTO visited the Martyrs Memorial, laid a floral wreath, and offered dua.

“Police martyrs are our true heroes who laid down their lives to strengthen national defense and eliminate terrorism. Peace in the country today is a result of their supreme sacrifices,” said Haroon Rashedx Khan while speaking at the occasion.

“The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have rendered the highest number of sacrifices across Pakistan, as is evident from the martyrdom of officers ranging from different ranks. The families of police martyrs should never feel alone as the entire police force stands with them in every moment of joy and sorrow,” he added.

The CTO planted a sapling along with the children of police martyrs on the lawn of the Traffic Headquarters as part of the tree plantation drive. He distributed shields and gifts among the children of police martyrs.
