IHC rejects petition against GB chief election commissioner

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday rejected a petition against the reappointment of chief election commissioner (CEC) of Gilgit-Baltistan on the grounds of lack of jurisdiction.
In a decision issued by Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro, the court said it had no jurisdiction to hear the petition related to Gilgit-Baltistan.
The court is not giving any observation on the merits, and the petitioner can approach the relevant forum, the judge said.
