EFP hosts 5th Women Empowerment and Gender Equality Awards
To promote women’s empowerment and gender equality in the workplace, the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan (EFP) organised the 5th Women Empowerment and Gender Equality Awards at a local hotel on Tuesday.
The event drew wide participation from a delegation of the International Labour Organisation, industrialists, corporate representatives, civil society members, and government officials. Speaking as chief guest, Sindh Minister for Labour Shahid Thaheem stated that no vision of development can be realised without the inclusion of women. "Promoting gender equality in workplaces is a welcome step and vital for economic progress. Institutions that are providing better opportunities to women deserve appreciation," he said. He further emphasised that empowering women remains one of the Sindh government’s top priorities.
