The body of an unidentified woman was found inside a trunk in Malir’s Ghazi Goth on Tuesday. The body was discovered in a street near the Shell petrol pump within the limits of Malir City police station after locals spotted the suspicious trunk and informed authorities. Initial reports indicated that the body appeared to be around two days old and showed signs of torture.
The deceased was estimated to be a woman aged between 45 and 50. The body was taken to the morgue for identification purposes after medico-legal formalities were completed at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The police have launched an investigation and are working to ascertain the woman’s identity and the circumstances surrounding her death.
