Woman allegedly shot dead by husband

A woman was shot dead by her husband following a domestic dispute in the Pirabad neighbourhood on Monday.

According to police, the incident occurred in Islamia Colony No 1, located along Manghopir Road. The suspect, Zameer Khan, allegedly shot his wife during an argument and fled the scene.

The police officials said Zameer, a repeat offender and drug addict, had previously served time in jail. The victim, identified as 40-year-old Zakia, a mother of three, was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by Chhipa ambulance for legal formalities. Police were currently searching for the suspect, and a case had been registered as investigations continued.
