Islamabad: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) have issued a travel advisory in light of the increased traffic flow on motorways and national highways following the official Eid holidays.
It emphasised essential precautionary measures to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for travellers. The NHMP encouraged users of public transport to report overloading or overcharging for action.
In order to manage the anticipated surge in traffic, the NHMP increased the deployment of personnel and enhanced patrols on major routes and said road safety briefings were being conducted at all toll plazas to raise awareness among travellers. They said in case of any assistance or emergency, commuters could contact their helpline at 130.
