Thumb injury threatens Park’s Olympic dream

SEOUL: South Korean world number three Park In-Bee may miss the Rio Olympics due to a thumb injury, her agent said Wednesday.

The injury will also keep the world number three from this week’s Meijer LPGA Classic in Michigan and her next appearance will be decided later, depending on the condition of her sprained thumb, said her agent Matt Kim. “She complains of sporadic pain on her left thumb”, Kim told AFP.
