New defence secretary takes charge

RAWALPINDI: Lt General (R) Muhammad Ali has officially assumed the charge of Secretary, Ministry of Defence on following the approval of his appointment by the Prime Minister’s office, a statement issued by the Ministry of Defence said.

Secretary Defence, Lt General (R) Muhammad Ali has a wide range of professional experience during his service in key military positions before retirement.

On assuming the charge of Secretary Defence, Lt General (R) Muhammad Ali expressed his commitment to work collaboratively thus fostering an environment of transparency, teamwork, and professional excellence. 

Prior to his retirement, he was serving as Quarter Master General at General Headquarters.
