Police vehicle damaged in Peshawar IED blast
PESHAWAR: A roadside improvised explosive device (IED) went off on Wednesday on Warsak Road, slightly damaging a police car but did not cause any casualty.
A police official said the IED was planted on Warsak Road near Ring Road that went off when a police vehicle was passing by. No casualty was reported in the blast that slightly damaged the car.
There were reports that around 10 kilograms of explosives were used in the IED but the bomb could detonate partially due to technical faults that reduced its impact. Senior police officials along with bomb disposal experts and investigation teams arrived at the spot after the blast and collected evidence.The CCTV footage from the nearby buildings were collected to check the movement of the terrorists who planted the IED.
