LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has issued another notice to former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi, calling him for an inquiry related to funds allocated for media advertisements.
The notice alleges that Elahi illegally disbursed Rs2.4 billion to media houses. The ACE has instructed Elahi to appear at its Lahore office for investigations. It warned that if he failed to appear, unilateral action would be taken against him.
According to sources, Elahi has received the notice and is consulting his legal team. It is to be noted that he was released from jail on May 21 after securing bail in various anti-corruption cases.
