PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) and the Al-Khidmat Foundation (AKF) arranged a five-day tour and leadership camp for the orphan children to the scenic spots in Swat Valley.
The children visited Kalam, Mataltan, Mahodhand and other scenic spots and also held a leadership camp there.The event was aimed at encouraging the orphan children, honing their innate capabilities, enabling them to become useful parts of society and face the present-day challenges effectively, said a press release.
The event also provided orientation to the children about future prospects and effective ways to seize new opportunities.Training and interactive sessions as well as indoor and outdoor sports events were also held during the event and conducted by experts and master trainers.
Senior managers Family Support Programme Muhammad Nauman and Muhammad Rizwan appreciated the efforts of KPCTA for arranging the leadership camp and said that these activities would encourage children and help enhance their talents.
Later, certificates and prizes were distributed among the children.The children also praised the initiative of KPCTA and Al-Khidmat Foundation for providing them recreational opportunities. They also suggested organizing more such events in future.
