Rs2m released for cops’ treatment

LAHORE:Inspector General Police Punjab (IGP) has released over Rs2 million for the treatment of injured officers and officials in Lahore and various districts.

This includes funds for operations and medical expenses, such as Rs14 lakh for Muhammad Dildar of Lodhran police, Rs2 lakh for Constable Muhammad Mujahid of Faisalabad police, Rs162,000 for Constable Zawar Hussain's cancer treatment, Rs1.5 lakh each for constables Tajamul Hussain and Abdul Khaliq of Sialkot and Faisalabad police respectively. The funds were approved by the IG through the Welfare Branch.
