Snooker club torched
LANDIKOTAL: Unidentified people torched a snooker club in Sultankhel markets, sources said on Monday. They said that unknown men smashed the door and windows of the snooker club and later set it on fire.
The club was owned by Landikotal Press Club former president Khalil Jibran Afridi who was shot dead near his home on June 18. On the other hand, Khyber Siyasi Etihad with the collaboration of journalists and civil society members staged a protest demonstration at Charwagay which was attended by several people.
They chanted slogans for peace and demanded a probe into the murder of Khalil Jibran Afridi. Meanwhile, the sit-in camp continued on the 14th day where political leaders, local elders and civil society members turned up to express solidarity with the slain journalist Khalil Jibran Afridi.
