Students join camp to learn lifesaving skills
LAHORE: On the directions of Emergency Services Department (ESD) Secretary Dr Rizwan Naseer, Community Safety Wing of ESD starts Rescue Scouts Summer Camp at Emergency Services Academy (ESA).
The secretary said that the purpose of this camp was to invite students to learn lifesaving skills and become responsible citizens. He desired to train enthusiastic students to become lifesavers and rescue scouts by learning practical skills during summer camp. Head of Community Safety & Information Ms Deeba Shahnaz welcomed different students registered through online dashboard from Lahore, RY Khan, Multan and Peshawar. She appreciated their motivation level for participating from far flung areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The best performing summer camp participants shall also be selected for advance trainings. The participants shall be trained by Rescue trainers through theoretical and practical sessions on different modules including essential lifesaving skills of CPR and bleeding control, first-aid, fire safety, road safety, health & hygiene and clean & green Pakistan. Rescue trainer shall further provide them exposure of height rescue techniques and swimming on purpose-built simulators established in Emergency Services Academy.
