The increasing development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming industries and society, presenting both beneficial opportunities and significant challenges. As AI emerges day by day, it is imperative that we should establish comprehensive regulations to ensure its ethical development and deployment. Unregulated AI also causes numerous risks, such as threats to privacy, security, and employment. However, AI algorithms can perpetuate and even exacerbate existing biases, leading to unfair treatment in areas such as hiring, law enforcement, and lending.
The job market is also at risk, as automation powered by AI could displace millions of workers, particularly in sectors like manufacturing and customer service. This necessitates a proactive approach to reskilling and supporting affected workers to mitigate the social and economic impacts. Effective AI regulation should focus on transparency, accountability, and fairness. Policymakers must work closely with technologists, ethicists and civil society to create standards that protect individual rights and promote beneficial innovation.
