I am writing to let you know about my concerns regarding the accuracy of gas metre readings. The pictures taken by gas metre readers are often blurry and poorly captured, making it difficult to discern the numbers on the meter clearly. This lack of clarity raises significant doubts about the integrity of the readings. This practice not only undermines consumer trust but also calls into question the transparency of the billing process.
I urge the relevant authorities to ensure that meter readers are properly trained to take clear, precise and legible photos of the numbers on the metres. Additionally, implementing a more reliable system for verifying these readings could help restore confidence in the accuracy of gas billing.
