DUHS to conduct MDCAT this year
After the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro (LUMHS) stated its inability to conduct the medical and dental colleges admissions test (MDCAT), the Sindh government has tasked the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) with conducting the test.
This will be the third consecutive time the DUHS will hold the test for admissions to private and government medical and dental universities and colleges across Sindh.
Sindh Health Secretary Rehan Baloch has issued a formal notification in this regard.
Earlier, LUMHS Vice Chancellor Dr Ikramuddin Ujjan stated that he could not conduct the MDCAT this year because his son would be taking the test as a candidate.
He said that in order to ensure impartiality and transparency, the MDCAT should be conducted by some other university.
