Despite a substantial slowdown in inflation over the last month or two, milk prices in Karachi have been hiked by around five to 10 per cent to Rs210-220 per litre. What is the logic behind this increase?
Reports say that the increase in milk prices is the result of an agreement between the wholesalers and the commissioner of Karachi. This is a sorry state of affairs. The prices of milk in Karachi should be decreased to the old level as these rates are totally unjustified.
