Man kills daughter-in-law over domestic issue

LAHORE: A man stabbed his daughter-in-law to death in the Badami Bagh area. The suspect identified as Ishtiaq alias Bagga had a dispute with his daughter-in-law. On the day of the incident, they exchanged harsh words with each other. He was so frustrated that he attacked the victim with knife. The victim received serious injuries and died. Her body was moved to morgue.

Boy dies as gun goes off

A 10-year-old boy died after he fired a bullet accidentally in the Shad Bagh area. According to SHO, the victim Abdul Moiz, a Nadeem Park resident, was playing with a handgun when the weapon went off and hit the victim. Police removed the body to morgue.

12 die in road accidents in Punjab

The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,468 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, 12 people died, whereas 1,587 were injured. Out of these, 697 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 890 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.

Two commit suicide

Two persons committed suicide in different parts of the City. The first incident was reported in Liaqatabad Gul Chowk where a 25-year-old woman Bushra committed suicide by hanging herself. The victim reportedly was frustrated due to domestic reasons. On the day of the incident, she locked herself in a room and claimed her life by hanging. In another incident, a 27-year-old worker committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills in Factory Area over financial issue. The victim Adeel, a resident of Jhelum, worked in a factory.
