I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration about the appalling state of public transportation in Karachi. The city’s streets are overwhelmed by a staggering number of private vehicles, rickshaws, and taxis, causing unbearable traffic congestion, air pollution, and noise pollution. The absence of a modern mass transportation system has turned daily commutes into a nightmare for citizens.
The lack of buses, trams, and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure forces people to rely on private vehicles, exacerbating the problem. I urge the government to invest in a comprehensive and sustainable mass transportation system.
